A LETTER TO THE WOUNDED

Brothers and Sisters in Christ

I'm sorry

I'm sorry if you felt judged or hurt

at any given time

by anyone in the church

coming to you in judgment in the name of God.

I'm sorry when you came seeking answers

and received rebuke instead

from people jumping to conclusions

filled with self-righteousness and

zero compassion.

I'm sorry when you trusted

and you were hurt

I'm sorry when you felt lonely

and there was no one to comfort you

I am sorry

I'm sorry because the church is made up

of imperfect people

who many times act impulsively

without thinking of Jesus first

and while trying to do much good

they land up doing a big mess.

but please...

don't let this separate you

from Him

don't let it tarnish

your relationship with

The ONE

who will never let you down

the one who will always have a kind answer

the one who will always have time for you

the one who would never hurt you or leave you

the one that loves you unconditionally

the one that is quick to forgive

the savior

the Messiah

the King

the Perfect One

Jesus

To the world that's hurt

I'm sorry

Please remember that

Jesus is the answer

Don't look at man, look at HIM.
