The voices we listen to. ..

There have been several preachings at my church this week regarding the same theme..."what voices are you choosing to listen to?"

We are living in times never before seen where we are CONSTANTLY being bombarded with messages. Messages via commercials on tv, advertisements on the street, facebook, twitter, music lyrics, sitcoms/tv shows, work, friends, politicians, artists...and the list goes on. There is SO MUCH being SAID all the time!!! The question then is...what are you choosing to listen to? And ultimately-what are you believing and making it your own?

The Bible tells us that we need to be cautious on what we listen to and what we will believe. There isn't such a thing as "MANY truths" or "all roads lead to heaven". It isn't a matter of opinions and coexisting and being tolerant. As Christians it's about knowing THE TRUTH and not deviating from it. Chosing holiness and spirituality over the things of the world. Chosing Christ and His Word over ther world and its message and even ourselves with our own desires.

In a world full of messages...what message are you sending? What separates you from the crowd? Are you blending-in or standing-out? what are you listening to? What truths are you believing? And ultimately....how are you leading your life?

There is no time for hypocrisy or gray-zoned christians...know what you believe!
