The Day of the King

 

Getting Home 

 

The day will come when
Unexpectedly
I will open my eyes
and will slowly look up
to find myself
standing in the very presence of
The King of Kings
And Lord of Lords
And for the first time
I will be able to contemplate
The details of the face
Of The One I have served
My entire life.
The one I've prayed to
Cried out to
And preached about
I will awe in the power
of his very existence,
There He will be surrounded
by an army of angels
And worshipping teams
In majesty and splendor
and in that instant
All questions will be answered
And in just a blink of my eyes
humbled
I will find myself
