Committed

With time you will come to see

Who or what you have become committed too. 

And if you haven't already done so, consider 

What you spend your waking hours on? 

And in your quiet times, 

where do your thoughts seem to be running towards?

Without knowing, your priorities have shifted

And your heart has become Committed.

To what?

I've often wondered 

as I see my reflection in the mirror.  

The years have gone by, 

my face ages and my thoughts change 

with each experience lived.

Today I decide to re-arrange my life

and become Committed to my God 

My North Star and my Light.

And although I fumble and fall,

He remains the same...strong, patient and powerful.

He is Committed to me And I Commit to Him.

Holy Spirit, 

help me to maintain my promise 

to the One whose eyes always follow me.
