He comes for the nations
🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
It seemed like another very regular and uneventful day.
I walked on the sidewalk by myself enjoying the afternoon breeze.
Observing long chains of houses linked to one another in uniform colors.
People washed their cars and watered their lawns.
Families visited and feasted in cheerful reunion in each others company.
It was in the middle of it all that the sky began to loudly rumble as it rolled its clouds out of the way.
From deep inside it, the firmament began spitting out long threads of translucent colors that formed into flags in mid air.
All the nations of the world, both great and small, were being represented with a flag and all the flags were joined at the seams forming one endless banner. The banner was twisting and winding in the air as it grew in size to include all people of the world.
Like a streamer it filled the sky with color and with endless meaning.
Although the flags were easy to see, their translucency allowed my eyes to see through them, focusing on a gold-colored enigma that was being produced in the heavens.
The light slowly became larger as it gradually came forth for all to see.
My heart pounded as I recognized who it was that was coming our way.
It was Jesus and he was coming for all the nations just as he had promised.
I cried as I looked at the flags before me and a mighty God who stood firmly behind them.
He protected them, He Fathered them, He truly loved them.
He had died for them and now he had come to collect them.
In an audible voice I glorified the name of the God who had kept his promises
and throughout all of time had taken care of his people.
A God that had not forsaken anyone, but instead, remembered us all.
To God be all the power and all the glory forever,
Amen

Let us be salt and light to the world
