Make me wise

Give me wisdom Lord I pray,

make me prudent.

Grant me the God-given ability to be able to discern and to distinguish.

To trust only the godly and to repel what is evil.

To know who to partner with and to distrust the ones who seek to do me wrong.

Open my eyes Lord God, that it might be clear as day and plain to see.

Pull the blinders from my eyes-

no more wolves in sheep's clothing.

Teach me to hear and recognize the voice of my pastor when he calls.

In a world full of chaos and confusion

Give me the common sense of God.

I want a sober mind and a cautious heart,

Above all give me wisdom Lord I pray
